My Fathers House - Brasil

MNC supports My Fathers House in Olinda, Brazil which cares for young people living on the rubbish tip.

Hi these are the photos Val has just sent me.
Val with three of the boys
who live at My Father's House,
there is a swimming pool just behind them.		 Front of the building.
Back where a service is held on Sunday mornings and an out door teaching area Back garden where they play ball games.

Val is having quite a hard time with the language, there are very few folk there at the moment with any English.
She has had Carol Coney from St Gearges Swallowbeck visit for three weeks and now there will be no one untill Andy Roberts returns in August
She is also frustrated because it is hard to get the money for materials to do the repairs and decorating projects that she is there to do.
She also has an injured foot, one of the boys dropped a heavy object on it while playing in the pool. I hope matters improve soon.

Why not join the Faith Walkers for a monthly outing?
Faith Walkers are a group of people from Methodist Churches in the area who join together for a good walk.
Enjoy fellowship with one another whilst getting some gentle exercise and fresh air.
Full information can be found by on the Burton Road Methodist Church Website. Most weekends there is a planned walk including a Turkey Buster on New Years Day to walk off the extra helping of Christmas Pud!
